Potassium Sulfate Fertilizer

This liquid fertilizer contains 22% sulfur and 18% potassium. It has an excellent effect on increasing plant resistance to fungal diseases, thereby reducing the need for pesticide use. Sulfur deficiency is more commonly observed in saline soils, and to meet plant nutritional needs, it is best to supplement the soil with this fertilizer.

Sulfur plays a fundamental role in protein synthesis by contributing to the chemical structure of the amino acids cysteine and methionine. In saline and alkaline soils, where pH is high and organic matter is low, sulfur acts as a soil conditioner. This element is effective in chlorophyll formation, activation of certain enzymes, and prevention of nitrate accumulation in sugar and starch production. Sulfur also increases the solubility of phosphorus, reducing the need for phosphate fertilizers, making it highly cost-effective.

Additional Practical Notes 

• Timing: Apply during vegetative growth and early fruit development to support chlorophyll production and disease resistance. Repeat every 10-14 days in high-stress conditions or sulfur-deficient soils.
• Soil Testing: Test soil pH and sulfur levels before application to confirm deficiencies and avoid over-application, which could lower soil pH excessively or disrupt nutrient balance.
• Mixing: Conduct a compatibility test (jar test) when mixing with other fertilizers or pesticides, especially those with high calcium content, to prevent precipitation.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-sealed container to maintain the stability of the liquid formulation. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Safety: Use protective gear (gloves, goggles) during foliar spraying to avoid skin or eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
• Environmental Care: Apply precise dosages and avoid application before heavy rainfall to minimize runoff, particularly in saline soils where sulfur could affect water systems.
• Crop Suitability: Highly effective for sulfur-demanding crops like oilseeds (e.g., sunflower, canola), brassicas (e.g., cabbage, broccoli), and fruit crops in alkaline or saline soils. Verify compatibility with organic farming standards if required.
